Authentication Methods

Miget supports multiple authentication methods to provide flexibility and security when signing in to your account.

Email and Password

The traditional authentication method using your email address and a secure password.

Sign Up

Create an account by providing your email address and choosing a strong password.

Verify Email

Confirm your email address by clicking the verification link sent to your inbox.

Sign In

Use your email and password to sign in to Miget.
Use a strong, unique password with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters.

Google Account

Sign in quickly using your existing Google account.

Click Sign in with Google

On the login page, click the Sign in with Google button.

Select Account

Choose the Google account you want to use or sign in to your Google account.

Authorize

Grant Miget permission to access your basic profile information.
When signing in with Google, Miget only accesses your basic profile information (name and email). We never access your Google Drive, Gmail, or other Google services.

GitHub

Sign in using your GitHub account - ideal for developers who already use GitHub for their projects.

Click Sign in with GitHub

On the login page, click the Sign in with GitHub button.

Authorize Application

Review the permissions and authorize Miget to access your GitHub account.

Complete Sign In

You’ll be redirected back to Miget and signed in automatically.
Signing in with GitHub makes it easier to connect your repositories for deployments later.

Linking Accounts

If you’ve signed up with email and password, you can link your Google or GitHub account for faster sign-in:
  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Navigate to the Connected Accounts section
  3. Click Connect next to Google or GitHub
  4. Follow the authorization flow
Once linked, you can sign in using any of your connected methods.

Security Recommendations

Use Strong Passwords

Create unique passwords with at least 12 characters including mixed case, numbers, and symbols.

Enable OAuth

Consider using Google or GitHub sign-in for additional security through their authentication systems.
